That's right. I'm sick of 'DoctorGonzo'. Sick of it, by golly I am. So I'm getting rid of it. And I'm bringing back an old name, a old sort-of nickname, that originated as a corruption of my surname.
A new name, to go with the new me. Fitter, Happier, and More Productive. Apart from the 'productive' part, that is...

My MSN tag changes every time I'm on. It's tradition now. Although if I can't think of anything, I often revert back to 'The Jesus Conker' or 'Self-Styled Hipster Christ'. Makes life more interesting. Well, it makes *my* stale, grey, and dull life more interesting...

Catch-22 was a popular book at our school, which might explain it a bit. Although I don't resemble that character at all. I haven't been called it in years, but it suits me better than my present name - dog-name though it may be...

Hmm, Milo Minderbender...yes, I can see that.
Also the hero of the Phantom Tollbooth is called Milo. That strikes me as *very* appropriate.

There's also an ovaltine-like drink of the same name, so may unnecessarily encounter the wrath of those who are anti-nestlé.

I'd quite happily share my name with Jim Carrey's fictional dog and the Phantom Tolbooth protagonist. As for the drink... well, we can't have everything.
I'm just not much like him: http://www.lasvegassun.com/from.ed/1998/may/18/photos/P000020602.jpg - or at least, I don't think I am.

I don't have a mustache. Actually, I do at the moment, as I'm trying to grow a beard. And all I seem to be growing longer than normal stubble. What's the difference between this and a beard? Well, what's on my face is not a beard, that's for sure...

In all seriousness, man, why? Everyone knows you as DoctorGonzo. You'll just confuse us all (in fact you're halfway there already).
I mean, do you think I like being named after an Eastern European city because I thought it was a "cool name" for a MUD back in 1996? But I'm Zagreb and stuck this way. And wouldn't want to be anything else.
And Croz, Doc.. I mean Milo already encurs the regular wrath of at least one Nestle-hater "drink name" or no "drink name". I had to defend his honour over the weekend.

If I change it back, surely that's going to cause more confusion? And stop reminding me how long ago we were regulars on Asylum MUD - it makes me feel old.

My nick's been in use since I was in primary school, so well over a decade then. That's a long time to be called something, so much so that I prefer it to my real names. Plus it's shorter and snappier, perfect for someone who is a lazy arse at heart
For a very brief period I was known as X-Z, which technically is still Croz (just in smiley form, there was an explanation to it but I'm not going to bore you with it), but for some reason people kept calling me Constipated.
Key: Complain about this post
