It was a double anniversary tonight - I'm here on h2g2 three months now, and it's just three weeks since I saw and yikes-ed a certain post.
I'm pleased with how I've mostly spent my time here - my Front Page entries have turned out well, and I got myself a really nice picture for one of them. I've a couple more in the Peer Review pipeline, and I should get the main part of my University Project finished this weekend.
The X-post controversy has been a bit distracting, though - I had enough of a proprietary interest to keep an eye on the various threads, but I feel that any useful result is now being worked on in various arbiter or charter schemes, and the original thread is going nowhere. So I'm going to unsubscribe, and work at something more interesting. (And if a certain person can't understand what I've written in plain English, well, that's not my problem!)

Hello, Dancer!
I'm always glad when people come to look at my home space. Our paths have crossed in Peer Review a few times, I think. If you were impressed with the caterpillar remarks, you'll see tha I am hoping to do a few more entries on topics to do with natural history and the environment. I'm sure you'll see them at some point!

Yap, I am really bad with names, but quite good with information. I remembered your "Science Fiction - Some Hard, Some Soft" well, and remembered seeing you recently on display at the natural history museum.
I remember that I couldn't understand your name there, but understood the microphyl part of it

Oh, but the Science Fiction entry was Hoovooloo's - he very generously credited some people who had commented in Peer Review (but later I think he got a bit annoyed because crediting people like that makes it impossible to tell who is the original author without checking everyone's entry lists in detail.)
I'm not great with names myself, which is why so far I've stuck to plain 'Azara' and not added bits to the end like most researchers.

Actually, the bits at the end make it easier to remember. And also, pretty soon (it's on the (in)famous list) it will be possible to tell who wrote the entry and who edited it and who was "just" credited for helping.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
