Sodom and Gomorrah once again...

Almighty God punished sin time after time again in days of old. We are told how he rained down his wrath upon many wicked cities and civilisations - eg, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Egyptians, the Hittites, etc.

So why do professing Christians speak anything BUT the truth in light of recent events.

Take a look at this article:

http://www.repentamerica.com/pr_hurricanekatrina.html

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the residents of New Orleans brought the wrath of God upon themselves.

Jesus Christ HATES sin. Why can the liberals not understand this? Is it any wonder God punished that city with a mighty wind in light of their festival celebrating that which is an abomination to God? They should be on their knees repenting, begging God for mercy, instead of trying to blame mortal men for their failings in their rescue effort.

Remember that Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt when she looked back upon Sodom and Gomorrah. No wonder President Bush has been reluctant to meddle in the affairs of his own City of Sin, after Almighty God has destroyed it.

The bad news is... there is much worse to come in these end days.

Sam,

What about all the poor black christians who perished, were hurt or dispossessed by the hurricane and its aftermath? What about the children and the infants?

If this indiscriminate slaughter and destruction is what you consider a good example of your Lord then you worship an evil deity indeed.

Instead of crowing about it why aren't you down at the relief centres offering comfort and your possessions to those that lost theirs? Do you not think that is what the man jesus would have preferred you to be doing?

I look forward to welcoming you and your kind into the lake of fire with me for you absolutely no understanding of compassion and love.

My blessings to the people of New orleans and the Gulf Coast at this terrible time.

Because this is apparently Sam's schtick. He says he preaches, but not to convert anyone, since it is only his God who decides who is worth 'saving'. And so he simply gloats because he believes himself to be saved.

Nice, huh?

Because at heart Spammy is one of the *least* Christian people you are likely to meet. He's racist, bigoted, wilfully ignorant and spoiled rotten to boot.

Oh, and he's been known to claim that one GCSE in Science makes him the most qualified poster on the BBC Science boards (Oh, how I wish I'd archived that thread to rub his face in!)

Don't you think you're being a little too charitable there, Kiteman?smiley - smiley

Jock Tamson's Bairn

I didn't think that anyone was daft enough to believe, in this day and age, that God makes the weather.

Just goes to show what a complete waste of an education looks like. Can I also detect the stench of Conservatism, perchance?

I wonder what lucky chap is going to get your vote.

The wean.

"Charitable" is one of the many things I have been accused of not being this last week or so. Other popular ones are 'nice' or 'fair'. Usually, though, it's 12 yr olds making the accusation.

Wow deja-vu. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2209693?thread=975066 Is this your attempt to ignore the fact you said the Holocaust was gods judgement against the Jews? Are you trying to hide your anti-semitism?
