I had my Theory Test today, and failed

I'd left it to the last minute to read the Highway Code , but most of it's common sense, and I'd learned all the signs and memorised the stopping distances (and thinking times!).

Now though the test is in two parts - the first, you have to answer questions on the Highway Code; the second, you take a 'Hazard Perception' test, which involvees watching video clips and clicking on the mouse whenever you see a hazard. Fair enough.

I did absolutely fine on the Highway Code questions, a big thumbs up to last minute cramming but failed on the Hazard Perception!
I think I know why though, I was too careful. If I saw a school bus pull up, I clicked the button, whereas I should've waited until I *saw* the *hazard* i.e. school kids coming out. Likewise with a car parking in front of me, I clicked the button because I knew the driver's door would open into the road, but I should've waited until I *saw* the driver's door open. Therefore my clicks wouldn't have counted, therefore I lost. Which was pants.

But, booked another one as soon as I got into work.. roll on next Tuesday!

good luck second time! : surely everyones* perception of 'hazzards' is entirely different? Oh well... At least you know what to do second time to please them

'Exams are 10% knowledge, 80% technique and 15% dutch edam and stilton' : Well, partly true; techneque in exams is equally as important as knowing what you got to know; no good if you can't turn that information/knowledge/ability into what the examineers are actually looking* for I'm sure you'l be fine this time : are you doing the rain dance yet?

I'm sure I'll be fine, I'm going to study the Theory questions a lot more though, last minute cramming worked, but it may not next time!

I've pinched the 'new' version of the Highway Code from my little sis, and have already packed it to take away with me for the weekend!

Away to sunny Worthing to visit my Pa. Did you know, Worthing has a higher percentage of old people than anywhere else in Britain! It's official, it says in the census!

My brother and I used to laugh when we'd drive past the sign saying "Seaside Resort" . A one screen victorian cinema and a very run down bowling alley is the total of entertainment there!

Sounds, very peaceful and relaxing Hmm, I think I'll pop to the bakery for lunch, and to get some bread, I've reached that annoying stage, where I've a 'fair' bit of bread left, but its debatible weather or not it would last hte weekend; the bakery don't open Sunday, and I never get up earlier enough on Saturday, as they only open till about 1 PM Well, my healthy shop this week is about to be finished, 2 bags mixed salad, rollmop herrings, pasta, vegies, salad stuff, a quiche, lemon and onion bajjis I did this online 'diet test' thing the other day, where you put in a 'average' days intake of food; told me I didn't eat enough carbohydrate, protein vegatables or fruit, and was only just spot on with fat well, either I should* be loosing a lot of weight or their idea of 'one portion of pasta' etc, is wildly different from mine Oh well....

Pasta has to come in Big portions... with lots of creamy sauce... mmmmmmm
