2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - yikessmiley - cuddlesmiley - smooch You should be able to go some way with this as far as what it sounds like your employee has asked you to do and getting recompence; These things rarely end up in court/industrial/employment tribunial as the employee's solicitors useually take one look at it once they've been aproached by 'your people' and recommend they cave in and settle it without the employee incuring all the legal fees and bad press of a failed tribunial.... smiley - cuddle Just stay smiley - zen and remember the hoover of the night is with you and keep that blood pressure down smiley - zen Have you got any support from your trade union (shoudln't matter if your a member or not, but perhaps being a membre makes it easier I'm not really sure) smiley - cuddle Hope the new job application goes well and maybe this time it will* be the job you want and need with employees who arn't as ...... as the current ones appear to be smiley - zensmiley - cuddle

Hi Tabs, smiley - cuddle

Frankly no job is worth risking health for and if the college insist you carry out an instruction that breaks the law, whether criminal or civil then frankly they need to be brought to book via the appropriate channels. I don't know the official title of the person but there's an ombudsman in charge of data protection matters that you can contact, free and confidential and he/she will deal with the issue on your behalf.
I daresay colleges and Uni's hold a lot of personal data on record so it's essential that data is secure and not used for nefarious purposes.
You need to keep records, names, dates, times etc as it's starting to look like you may have grounds for constructive dismissal as well.

Ultimately for me, health would come first.

Take care, you want to chat you know where I am. smiley - hugsmiley - smooch
