h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

We insisted on calling it an inspection, no matter how many times they told us it wasn't. That was the LEA inspectors coming in to see how we were doing and to give us some tips. They were due to come and watch a Maths lesson in y5/6 - half of mine and half of my colleague's. As it happens they stayed in mine. I wasn't very impressed. I was hoping to be able to be normal after half an hour!! The feedback was positive and what really irks is that I can't help feeling pleased. I really don't value their judgement, so why should I care?

I have the impression you're not getting on here very often and working too hard. Never mind - term will soon be over. Any good plans?

yeah - you're right. It's all go at the moment. Still got bits of reports to write. It's complicated by the fact that most of the school teach in classes but we teach in sets. We had to (I had to) rewrite the report format just for us. No plans for holidays. Haven't been able to think that far ahead. If I can get some permission, I'd like to do some of those portraits of women jazz musos I'm thinking of.

Do you have to meet them and do sittings?

I prefer to have a session where I can take some photos - but one good publicity shot would be sufficient
