Agreed TB. It's nice to see flaws in characters. The plots were well scripted and they were darker. Addictive viewing. Excited about these movies. Lets hope they're good.

I agree about the addictive viewing, I can honestly say B5 is the only sci fi series that's ever made me cry

Oh I dunno, I cried after watching the first series of Enterprise...although probably not for the same reason.

Oh how I wish I could wipe it from my memory ... although saying that the linguist and enginjeer were both very nice to look at

Did you see the linguist as she is normally?
With her hair down, she is really stunning.
But anyway. Enterprise was rubbish. Although it got better I hear in later series, but I gave up. I forced myself through 7 series of Voyager and couldn't stomach any more!
I'd be interested to see what they next come up with.
Interestingly, a lot of 'true' fans detest DS9 for the same reasons we all love it. I think they're all insane. Insane I tells ya INSANE!

Excuse me, but I am a true fan...I used to sketch ST space ships in class, I designed the ASCII Constitution class vessel used in the h2g2 trek fan group badge thingy, I may or may not own a range of memorabilia which almost certainly does not include two uniforms, a type 1 TNG phaser, a TNG tricorder, blueprints for the Enterprise D and a tech manual for the same.

no disrespect to any one, but can't stand the new, let alone old version of Battlestar Galactica

I like both, but for different reasons. I suspect that my liking of the original version may be nostalgia..I have mixed feelings for Battlestar Galactica 1980

I've got no choice but to watch the new BSG, since Excelsior lost his Sky One on Virgin media I've had to record it for him and he lent me his DVD's because I'm so lost and I'm forever saying "Who's he again?"

BSG was very..camp (the old version), but you still had to love it the way one loved Buck Rogers and Lost in space and Land of the Giants....
