On the IMDB boards I was brousing the board for one film when I came accross the following litterary masterpiece.
>>Re: So I guess this is the only CGI movie not targeted for kids?
>>by - zeroevildarkcool on Fri Oct 6 2006 13:28:26
>>ALL PREJUDICE AGAINST CHILDREN IS WRONG. ABOUT THAT GUY UP THERE BEING REALLY AGEIST. HE SHOUDL STOP BEIN
>>AGEIST. ITS SAD WHEN A PERSON HAS TO TAKE THE NAME OF A RESPECTABLE PERSON AND USE IT TO GET ATTENTION BY
>>ACTING LIKE AN ASS.
>>
>>CGI EVEN MAKE UP 10% OF MOVIES BACK IN THE DAY SO U ONLY HAVE PPL WHO WERE UNTRUE TO THE GAMES THE MOVIE IS
>>BASED ON TO BLAME
So I replied to that with
"Wow! There are letters, what appear to be words and it looks like English, and yet it fails to parse every time I try to read it. Would you care to translate your post to English, for those of us who don't speak Zeroevildarkcoolian, please?"
The best bit was that, assuming I correctly guessed what Mr. Illiteracy was trying to say, it bore no relation to any previous post in the thread.

Yep. New LAN card, new cable, increased phone bill (Talk Talk, Belkin, Talk Talk, Belkin...), day off half gone, feeling grottier than before, but definitely back!

Early Thursday morning the electric ran out. When it was put on emergency it shorted the modem (despite it being on a surge protected thingy), then Talk Talk said we needed a special modem (which turns out to piffle) so we bought one, tried it, no joy. I spent today buying a new LAN card for the desktop and going between Belkin & Talk Talk trying to get the thing set up.
Belkin's tech. support are great. Talk Talk's tech support are less use than a bacon sandwich at a bahmitzvah.
Meanwhile I've still got nasty coldiness (my ears feel like they're full of warm baked beans and my head feels like a slowly rotating kebab), which I took a day off for (was off sick Mon - Wed, back half of Thur, too many sick periods to go off again today) and could have done without the nonsense. Hey ho.
Hmmm, much ranting in someone else's journal!

It wasn't my idea! Unfortunately my landlord/flatmate is a cheapskate. We urrently have a 500g tub (yes, a tub) of filter coffee in the fridge from the 99p shop. 'Tis ghastly.

Go and have a long soak in a very hot bath. It usually helps me with a head cold.

I was only gone Thursday evening & Friday morning/afternoon.
If there's anybody round here that can be mistaken for me I want them caught and skewered right now!
