2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

The fridge returned this morning.
I walked into the “Kitchen” not suspecting anything out of the ordinary.
I didn’t see it at first, but something took my attention.
A primordial instinct was aroused by a noise.
Unmistakable.
A low, throbbing “hum”, with underlying “buzz” tones.
Grabbed my attention by the throat.
Turning, and walking.
There was no delusion from the evidence.
The fridge stood.
The fridge was there.
Clean.
Empty.
Still with broken interior.
Still the same size.
The fridge had returned.
I saw no one bring the fridge back.
I did not guess its presence.
But there is no getting away from the facts:
After three weeks.
Fridgeless.
The fridge.
The very same fridge.
Somehow different to how it was before;
Perhaps because of its emptiness;
Perhaps because of its cleanliness;
It is there.
Again.
Peace restored?

How pleased you must be. I hate that fridge thing when it makes a chug,chugga chug noise just as I am about to fall asleep. It does it deliberately I'm sure.

Yeah; its going chug,chugga chug, and then makes a "worzelplunckett" where it should go chug,chugga chug again:
How are you ment to put up with such irregularities in fridge chug,chugga chug-ing?

I wrote mock-shakespearian blank verse on mine in fridge magnets. It doesn't help with the chugga chugga chug but it made me feel better.

Yonder wicked lady is oft bawdy,
With loathsome bosom and peasant manner.
A man belches his tale, merry and vile.
I bestow on the foul saucy drunkard
A vulgar, perilous, poison codpiece.
Methinks I shall curse this woman and drunk
Too dire. Thence seek my goblet and "damn you".

What did you think of my dodgy poetry?

I am going to have to go to bed soon sweetie as although I have got out of my placement tomorrow, I am attending a meeting at college. They are going to try and persuade me to go into mental health as there are too many people wanting to do adult nursing. I've given it a lot of thought and I definitely want to do adult, but there's no harm in attending the meeting. I can also pop in the library and use college computers. Hooray!!!

Congratulations!!! smiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubblysmiley - bubbly

You're top of the postings list again and I am at my highest position yet, no.4. I have nearly scored my first century!!!!

Are you getting into trouble for naughty moderated postings?!

I attended the meeting and it made me think, "mmm" for a while but I think I shall stick to Adult branch and not do mental health, despite the fact that they seem to want me. I'm on the college computer as I am still on a free internet trial at home that lasts until 21st June. The trial was only for 99 hours and I have nearly used them all! I'm not sure if they'll start charging me extra if I go over the limit or if they'll just stop my access or what, so I am going to have to ration my home internet use over the next week. smiley - sadface

Why are college computer keyboards always so horrible to use? At least one key always has to stick. The mouse insn't on top form either.

I've got to shop this afternoon smiley - sadface , but I do get to look in bookshops smiley - biggrin. Father's Day this weekend so I will buy him a book, that gives me an excuse to look for myself too!!

I think I have bee moderateda few times now not quite sure why, well maybe I am, but the moderation doesn't seem very consistant or I should have had a lot more removed also..

Have fun book shopping what are you going to ge for yoursef?

I know what you mean about college keyboards, but actually my ketboard is pretty messed up now and its got over half a dozen keys that stick; wouldn't be a problem except its the keyboard on my laptop!

smiley - cool I should get my new laptop tomorrow, but it might not ve for a few days till I get it working on the net: It
isn't that easy here it has to be set up with the ethernet card and configgered to work on both the local area network, the main network and also configered to work with the modum from a regular phone socket for when I am not at college, and that is not so easy to do if you are a computer dunce like me; "I only use the things":
so I will probably have to wait for someone from the computer department, or my department to come and set it up properly from the start, which should avoid some of the other problems aside the keyboard that are inherant in my current laptop.Hope
the rest of your day goes fine,
I am off now to either play the guitar or hoover; mmmmm

I'm no good with the workings of computers either, but luckily I know some people that are. I hope your new laptop gives you many hours of pleasure once it is up and running.

I couldn't find the book I wanted to buy my Dad, but I bought myself a new dictionary. I know, it's not very exciting, but I really needed a decent dictionary and this one is very good. I'll have to go shopping again now as I still need to get my Dad a present. It's his birthday next week as well.

I think the moderation is very inconsistent. I've seen swear words typed and nothing has been said and yet on one forum, someone mentioned something about Christian fundamentalists and the conversation was moderated. Another time, the whole society's page was sent for moderation.

Stick to playing the guitar, it's far better than hoovering.

I went to the meeting today to see if I would be persuaded to do mental health. I thought long and hard about it but although I find it really interesting I have decided to go with my gut feeling and stick to adult nursing. The woman trying to sort out placements phoned me and I told her my decision so now I am back to definitely doing adult nursing. Besides, I really enjoyed learning how to put naso-pharyngial tubes in and do suction yesterday, I couldn't do that in mental health.

Sounds like the right thing::
You seem to prefer the adult side of things, and although you don't like the dirty old men bottoms, I think I get the idea you kind of enjoy it more?

Good morning!
I have been and put my top 5 also.. Not too sure about the order I put them in though, I would say they were all my equil favourates, rather than actually being any etter than any of those on the list of five, if you see what I mean..

I guess you have gone into college or your placement now, so here is a smiley - hug for your return, see you later in the Green Room, for a regenerative smiley - coffee or smiley - ale or smiley - stiffdrink and probably a few more smiley - hug s bye for now...
