I hate the term boyfriend. It sounds so juvenile and High School'ish. I've been dating a great guy for a while now, but am still struggling with the whole public title thing. It just doesn't feel right to call Pat my boyfriend, not because he doesn't hold a serious place in my heart, but because he's man, and not some punk kid. I'm thinking "novio" sounds better? Well, that's neither here nor there...
Pat and I have pretty bad schedules during the week, so we don't get to see each other except on weekends. Neither of us are good at just talking on the phone, so we send each other text messages during the day when we aren't busy. Its a pretty consistant method of communication... he texts me when he's on break or lunch, and then I respond on my breaks or lunch.
Recently, he changed his work schedule, so his am break occur right about the time I've gotten to work, his lunch break @ my morning break, and his afternoon break on my lunch. My sis works for the same company I do, so we often take breaks together. It almost never fails that his text messages come just about the time my sis and I are together on break. She's been giving us a pretty good poking because of the timing. Today we went to lunch at a different time than normal, and of course, Pat has a change in his schedule and texts me right as we are sitting down for lunch. Most of the time, the messages are pretty innocuous, but this time it was rather provocative, and apparently I blushed. My sis is still giving me crud.
I think she's jealous!
