I am all alone and lonely. This is my first weekend here at school without my bluebird. He flew away home. So I'm sitting alone in my room doing useless internet things. I've joined myspace and facebook. What a lot of uselessness. Kelly, I miss you!!! I haven't heard from you in ages!!! Where are you, I'm so confused!!!! You should join facebook with Megan (who can't afford an h) and Alyssa and me. I'm trying to get Alyssa over here, but she's too busy with school and Nate. As if they're more important. Piffle. This whole thing would make more sense as a message to you, kelly, but it's too late now.

I watched Phantom of the Opera last night. I didn't like the movie, but I liked the story. Strangely, it was the musical-style that bothered me. I love musicals! But the songs didn't fit. It fits as a musical, having lots of strong emotions (and whenever I have a strong emotion, I do feel like singing), but the songs didn't fit. They were either in the non-emotional parts or just didn't sound right. And the story started in medius res, which was just wrong, you couldn't understand it. I knew what was going on because I know the story, but it was still pretty weird. The end was good, though. I do want to read the book, though.

Maybe I should make friends here. Freshman year sucks no matter what, it seems.

Hi, Still_WRD,

I put you on my friends list a while back so your journals appear on my space...I don't remember why...maybe it was something you published in the AWW?

Hang in there.. life gets better..I can barely remember freshman year eons ago but it was a little lonely and I was even still living at home so I was with my family a little every day and I still had high school friends nearby. How many students are attending your University?

I love the music from 'Phantom of the Opera'. Accept the thing that REALLY pissed me off about the movie, is that they spoke some of my favorite lines. Such as, my absolute favorite line in the musical is a small in 'Masquerade' when Raul and Christine are singing about their engagement. I love the music in that part, but when I saw the movie, they SPOKE it! It drives me crazy! I Love that part and they took out the music! -Totally ruined it for me.

I tried to read 'The Phantom of the Opera' (the book) in middle school, but I couldn't get through the first couple of chapters. It was all written like an article on the phantom and I couldn't get to the actual story. Then again, maybe I was reading the wrong book. It's Possible, I guess. Then really, they shouldn't call it 'the phantom of the Opera' if it's just a book on the book. However, it may be that I Was reading the right book and just never got past the introduction (most likely). I was in middle school then, and it was even harder for me to get through a slow book. Although, I'm proud of myself, I've gotten through 3 slow books in less than 2 months. Well, ok, it was more like 2 1/2 books in 2 months, but still, that's a record for me.

Well, bell!

P.S. I realize that the above only dealt with the second paragraph of your "message"/journal. So:

I MISS YOU TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!smiley - wahsmiley - hug

That's how "Phantom of the Opera" was written. I hear that "Phantom" is better, it's written later, by a woman, and is a bit longer, delving more into the phantom's psyche, why he is how he is.
