I've won the lottery!!!

Ok, so it's only £15.40 for three numbers right out of five and no stars in the Euro Millions thing. But it's better than nothing

It cost £1.50 for the ticket. SO that's a return of just over nine to one. Which on the face of it is a pretty stingy payout given that the odds are three-hundred and sixty-seven to one on hitting one of those combinations.
Actually I very rarely play any of the lottery games. I only do so when there is a large rolled over jackpot at stake. I thought that there was one for this game, but my information was wrong. Had I landed the full jackpot I would have won only just over £10million. Peanuts at a 76million to one shot
Oh, and one of the numbers I picked was 42

Yes, that's quite a nice gain then.
Will you be coming to the meet? You can invite everybody to a pint, rich as you are now.

I will be coming, but very late.
And as to having a good return. Well I've got to factor in my losses on the football this afternoon. My 25p per line Lucky-31 only paid out £2.27 leaving me with a net loss of £5.48

Which will enable me to buy a round of drinks, at London prices, if the meet consists of me and no more than two others.
Though actually my drink will be cheaper than the others as I'm driving and hence won't be on the hard stuff.

Frankly I've no idea what time I'll be showing up.
I'm driving from Sheffield to London, with a short detour to Sheffield for the afternoon - about a 320 mile detour that is.
The plan is to hack it down the M1 as fast as possible after the football match is over, dump the car at a.n.other tube station - probably Cockfosters - and come into central London that way. I don't fancy my chances much if I drove all the way to Holborn. In fact I don't think I've *ever* driven all that way into town before. I sort of stop about Ladbrooke Grove, Kentish Town or Hackney coming from the North.

Good luck anyway, I have no clue if they are any good or not
Maybe you can spend your winnings on a small round if Spouse and I still manage to pop in on our way from/to a family event we've just been invited to which will doubtless take precedence over my first meet, humpf...

They played at Watford for my convenience back in December. We stuffed them
Watford are a terrible team. They're bottom of the league and got relegated this afternoon. Of course that means that next week they've got nothing left to play for but their pride, and no doubt will play an absolute blinder in a game that my team *must* win.
