I suppose I ought to pull my finger out and get on and cook this, it's getting late in the day now. Also as it's Christmas Day I can't order out for pizza or whatever, so I've really got to get on and make something.
The scrambled eggs on toast I had for lunch was nice though.

Thank Heaven's for Mothers. They cook, I wash up. The only year I've done Christmas dinner myself we ended up with chicken Kiev.

The meat has been browned, the onion chopped and fried, the spices added. The whole lot has gone into the casserole with tomatoes and chicken stock. Then into the oven with it, and I shall be eating by 11:30pm tonight with a bit of luck

Sounds lovely. We (well, me) did a roast duck and leg of lamb last night with tons of roasted veggies - this afternoon I threw all the leftovers into a fab shepherd's pie which we ate while watching dvd's.
Anyhoo, hope it turns out well and you have a wonderful meal.

I hope it does turn out OK, I'm starving!
I just need to heat up the stock and chop the coriander leaf for the couscous and I'll be ready to go

I'm not really here Posted Dec 27, 2005
My brother cooked and it was good! Then my sister in law spent about 3 hours washing up while my parents fell asleep and my brother and my son went to play on the computer. I was left with no-one to talk to, a load of films on tv I've seen before and I didn't even have a book to read.
I stuck it for an hour then went home!

I of course cooked far too much of the stuff - I always do when I cook something new for the first time - and so I had Tagine two days running, and very nice it was too
