That's a hard call. It could go several ways.
I expect that here in the US we'll continue our slide towards democracy, fewer liberties, and socialism. As the world slowly unifies into one bland nation without political, economic, cultural distinction or success.

Good call if you are speaking of the "New World Order". I just wanted to see what the oppinion of some of the rest of the world was, and to see if it coensided with my owen personal views...
next question is do you think it will come to ahead sooner rather then later, exspecialy now that Bush II is in office???

I think that the politics of the US will be much more insular and right wing with Bush II (aka Little weed) in power, than would have been the case if Al Gore had become president.
But then I don't really know a great deal about it yet - I suppose we'll just have to see what the future holds.

Again, it could break either way. We may have shot ourseleves in the foot with the election nonsense in Florida.
If the election hadn't been dragged through court, I'd say it would be more hopeful to have Bush in office. With his background of reaching out to all sides, we could have had a really good eight years with a unified country. I still think he can pull it off, but...
Nothing would have happened if Gore was elected. The Congress would drag its heals just as it has done with Clinton, nothing would be done.
Of course, Bush's positions on things like this perscription drug benefit, we continue our slide towards socialism. He will probably keep us from getting dragged too much further into the slowlly congealing new world order (a phrase I shy away from since it's been hijacked by the patriot movement). My great hope is that he will appoint strict constructionalist supreme court justices who will read the Consitution rather than legislate from the bench.
Key: Complain about this post
