Surely, by the very nature of the series, they could show it now, and then film it afterwards- that way we get to see it sooner, and they can have a higher budget from all the DVD/video/merchandise sales.

I'm sorry, but I happen to believe that Doctor Who rocks! And if you aren't completely dedicated to it (at least sort of) you should leave. Either this universe or this dimension.
