I've ordered Broadband my home. They need to check the line to see if it is capable but other than that it is being installed on Thursday

Who's it with? We are on teh NTL cable modum; I didn't bother with the TV from them, but I get the phone as well its not as expensive as it was from them as far as I make out, I think they dropped the price you going for 1 MB, or the 500 something one?

I don't know what speed it is, hang on I'll check

All I know is it is the standard BT one for down the phone line.

Thats probably 500 something I guess: to be honest a lot of the sloweness of the net isn't totally improved by the connection speed; its great for downloading, but it doesn't quicken up page loading as much as You'd like; I.E., the thing that you want to do all the time on H2G2 : though it does help a lot

Yer, I know it won't make that much of a difference with most web pages but Questions Only must be a little quicker

Yeah, its definately quicker But you don't notice it after a while once you're used to it, but you certainly do if you then switch back onto dialup, as I did at Christmas when I was using my laptop at my dads

Yer, we have super fast at work and i do notice the difference when I come home. Well, I will until thursday anyway
