Need HELP! with horrible Latin

Post 1

Okay, here's the deal. I have an 11 page document in fairly awful medieval Latin. And I don't have time to translate all of it. Is there anyone out there who can help? If you're close enough, I'll buy you a or two, or you'll have my eternal gratitude if not, and a pint when I make it to your neck of the woods. Not kidding. I can scan the stuff in, and we can go from there, if needs be. I've got about a month, month and half to do it.

HELP!!!!

Titania (gone for lunch)

Hmmm... try asking Icy North U225620 who wrote A21776754 or Vestboy U45662 because of the comment he made to A218882. You could also check with Gnomon U151503 (because he seems very knowledgeable) if he knows Latin, or if he knows someone who does.

smiley - goodluck

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence

I got in touch with a friend of mine who edits textbooks for OUP and IEEE and the like, and who is plugged into a network of editors online. This was her comeback:
"
Not optimistic at all, but one can only ask. Medieval is perfectly bloody. If the dottora is working from a copy that was transcribed, that's likely to mean that the copyist didn't know Latin, hence has introduced spelling errors, has omitted helpful prepositions or indeed whole phrases, has misread and/or fudged verb or noun endings. So the set-in-type copy will be even worse. If she's got a month and a half, maybe she should devote some time to looking for a truer version of the copy she's been given. That's what I would do. Also, if other works by the same author are available, it may be possible to pick up a rhythm, spot useful patterns, and otherwise decode the opus to hand.
"

You've probably done all this, but that's her best fwiw.

Mudhooks

Oh, you know... Ain't died a winter, yet...

Ups and downs. Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's recently (early stages, late onset, so it isn't as bad as it would be for someone much younger. She's 85, so it's sort of par for the course).

How about you?

Been okay. Too busy to think most days, which tends to get me in trouble.
