Some days, I wake up feeling old, but this morning, I woke up feeling transparent. I felt stretched thin, prickly. I don't know exactly how to explain it. I felt like every emotion was etched on my face the way wind carves stone. I don't understand it, exactly. I just know it exists, and I wonder why.
Or perhaps I'm just really damned tired.

Probably just tired
I hope a good night's sleep will see you feeling more solid in the morning.

OOOH, I think that gets here today, actually...come to think of it.
I'm still tired as hell, but at least I'm not ready to cry at a cheesy TV commercial today. I don't know...I have days like that, where I just get all sensitive and weepy.
I think what I really need is a night out on the town, followed by two days at a spa. Massage, facials, the whole enchilada. Yep, that's what I need...a weekend off of my life.
Oh, there's a novel thought...A VACATION!

You have a lot in common with H. He gets very sentimental when he is overtired and he hasn't taken his full annual leave quota in the 12 years I have known him. I promised myself this year would be different, but in spite of my frequent requests that he checks on how much leave he has left, he still hasn't got round to it.
Light some candles, take the phone off the hook, put on some chill out music and spend an hour so doing nothing. It is amazing how it recharges the batteries.
Key: Complain about this post
