Well, the flooding wasn't serious and has dried out now.
The back pains are much better as well, thanks, I suspect, to a friend of mine who came round and taught me some yoga and gave me a shiatsu massage afterwards 
.
Did some yoga this morning and felt much better for it, and in some strange way, also felt connected to something that it far older than western civilization. Most excellent .
Had a good laugh at Mina who had her land-line cut off and had no pc! Disaster! Did the only decent thing and let her come round and use mine for a couple of hours whilst I took my afternoon nap .

Well, obviously this is year is looking better than most .
What I really hatwe about it all is the rampant commercialism. I mean, we've not even finished October and we are already gearing up for it.
Sort of takes the specialness out of it for me.
