Look much better on Kate Beckinsale than me, I must say...
Yes, I've neen to see Underworld. It *looks* fantastic, though the plot is strictly from the back-of-a-cornflakes-packet school of writing.
It was also sorely in need of A Joke. Just one, to lighten the unrelenting grimness of people snarling and smouldering at each other.
But, sad muppets that we are, me and the Spikester loved it to bits. One for the dvd collection in due course, if only because La Beckinsale can be admired in slow motion...
not so much shallow as arid...

*sigh* I don't think I can even fit into my Vinyl (closest thing I have to leather) pants.
But still, I would like to see that movie and that girl very much .
But, *sigh*..po' mommy that I am, I've seen my once yearly allotment of movies in the theatre. In fact, I'm truly blessed that I got to see Matrix Reloaded *and* Pirates of the Caribbean.
*sighsighsigh*

Hey, it's no work of art...For a sneak preview have a vada at the official web page. Worth the effort, in some ways its nicer than the movie...

Saw it..looks interesting enough . Even if her legs do look freaky thin in that poster of her. She must look like someone, because her filmography wouldn't make her seem as recognizable to me..hmm...

Dunno, she smouldrs well, which is really all she's called upon to do in the movie. Oh, and look good in leather and pvc...
As to her legs, they look well enough in the movie...

So, is Kate Richard's daughter?

She certainly is. Looks better in the trousers than he would, but then I can't imagine her sharing a cell with Fletch, either...

Is he still alive? Or was he one of the young 70s sitcom stars that topped themselves?
Underworld is on the list to see, you have confirmed the level of plot I was expecting...

In fairness, Awix has an almost diametrically opposed view of the movie and it's merits to me in the Post this week...
Beckinsale died of cancer, in fairness.

Personal opinion, but the *only* people I have seen that actually looked good wearing leather trousers were Jimi, Jim, Chrissi . . . and possibly Iggie.
As for vinyl, well.
All the recent film people are not wearing leather, they are wearing some sort of stretch vinyl stuff. Which is not to be confused with proper leather trousers. IMHO.

Hmm, well, I'm not about to take leathers to Spain so you'll be able to live with that theory for quite some time...
It's certainly not proper leather she's wearing, but neither is it latex which is what it *looks* like (to a practiced eye...).

Ah. Twas the bloke from Robin's Nest and Odd Man Out that played with the noose, wasn't it?
Actual leather trousers are surprisingly hard to get hold of these days.

I'm sure that proper leather trousers cost a fortune! And they are very hard to keep looking good, as leather tends to stretch out and does not 'spring back' to it's previous state.

Oner of the reasons I'm a little sad not to be going to Erotica this year. One of the stall holders does very good, reasonably priced leather jeans and I need a new pair because of the weight loss...

Tghe people at Erotica knock em out for about £110-120. I can get a pair of much thinner ones in this very town for about £250...

I was getting my 70s sitcom stars confused. Three or four of them topped themselves in the 80s, including I though Richard o'sullivan from Robin's Nest/Man About the House. I think I might have been wrong though. I confused Richard o'sullivan with Richard Bleakisdale.

Exactly. More than I'm willing to spend on clothes. I resent paying more than 50 quid for trousers, frankly.
