Hmm, should I, shouldn't I?
is it the h2g2 equivalent of a land war in SE Asia or is it a cleansing of the mind and soul in a final apocalyptic act of madness that i need to go through before I can move my life on?

I dunno mate, but the latter sounds more interesting from where I'm sat.
*gets out the *
- Tell *anyone* I did that and I'll make a Land war in SE Asia look like a stroll in the park.

Spectators.
And it isn't. There are some people around who respect a fellow not doing things that aren't cricket.

I always found that catharsis has a certain appeal.
[But I admit that I have not figured what you meant with "it" in your first posting]

Ah f*ck it. Life's too short.
Time for the Tour soon, and a summer of cricket awaits.
Hi Tube, hows things with my favourite German?

Rugby? Hmm, you know I'm essentuially an unbeliever, prefering ponces in pads.
First things first. Off tomorrow to buy a f*ck off big telly.

Ahh, but it's better than football
Cricket we both agree on however.
FOr the size of our living room, we do have a ludicrous size telly, it's fantastic. Got any particular variety in mind?

As your living room is a tent atm, I'd have thought that any size tv was ridiculous.
I'm tempted with the 28" Toshiba FST, which seems to be a reasonable price.

Oh, things are going quite well... I might actually finish my thesis this lifetime.
Fottball? Rugby?
Cricket, now that's more like Pity that one can't get any Aussie Rules on telly here.
Any I must say that the 60 inch TV the new flat mate dragged in is not bad at all...
Tube
drifing topics like a boat without sail and ancor...

Hmm, 60" is beyond my price bracket...my mate in the states has one, but he has a large house and his wife is a very sucessful net entrepreneur.
Glad everything is going well for you and that the thesis is obviously progressing, albeit slowly...

A 9x9 hut is probably slightly bigger than our living room in the crucial dimension between viewer/couch and screen. 30" might be a bit big, methinks.
Settled for a 28" JVC on special offer. Bloody finance won't clear til mOnday, so i may yet have to go in and pay cash...
On a completely different note, it has been rumoured that this thread may have, allegedly, in a manner of speaking, caused some form of alarm and panic in certain circles. Apologies to all concerned - as you can see the thread has now returned to the normal harmless drivel that is associated with the Blues Shark brand name.
