Quite true. However my fundamental beliefs have not changed significantly over the last 16 years since I first joined the party.

Well I've always be convicted about my politics. The LIb Dems best match those convictions. And I intend to move them in the right direction.

You are right about the Labour party though

Labour knew they would never get the backing of business and the city with traditional socialist policies. So they changed. It was a move worth of the Tories- change policies to get what you want smiley - shrug

Hold on just a second here. Why on earth would you not want to live in Scotland? smiley - erm

I voted SSP on both papers, and Lib Dem in the council elections, so I was rather pleased with the overall outcome. I did have a small panic attack, but then realised I live about a hundred yards from David McLetchie's constituency. I've never lived in a Tory controlled area before, and wasn't too keen on the idea.

In other political news, a friend of mine interviewed Malcolm Chisolm, and won a bet by calling him Malcolm Jissom and getting away with it.

Tsk tsk. How terribly juvenile.

And yes, it made me laugh smiley - winkeye

I can go one better. Lib Dem council vote, SNP constituency vote and SSP list vote. I'm sure there was some logic behind this. Wish I could remember what it was though.

Not far enough away from London, they come up here and treat Edinburgh's zebra crossings as if they were in Chelsea not nice at all. smiley - winkeye

My mum's moving to scotland. I think she's mad. She's practically buying a cowshed. But the political situation was one of the reasons for wanting to move.
