I long for so many things . . . what do you long for? This evening I longed to be held in both arms and hearts. My partner and my lover are miles and miles away. I can only hope that I was held in their heart. . . I am real. I have longings, desires, dreams and wishes.

Sorry if I came across sounding brash earlier, and if I can be serious for a moment I'll comment on this subject. I understand exactly what you said, about wanting to be held in both arms and heart by my lover. Often we think we're alone with those thoughts not realizing the other person is thinking and feeling the very same things. Jumping to conclusions about what our partners are doing or thinking can very easily become a trap. Self-pity and loneliness take over and we may find ourselves saying or doing something we later regret. Take heart, my night siren, we as human beings will never perfect our communications but as time goes on, even a lifetime together, it only gets better - whether we see it that way right now or not. All that's needed is a commitment to loving one another and improving our relationship with one another along with alot of patient perseverence. I don't mean to lecture or sound like I know it all but be assured, your lover was longing for you in much the same way as you for him. That's what long-term commitment is all about (IMHO). When I read your post I was stricken because this very issue has been close to my heart. I hope we both find peace concerning this.

Man Thing - I understand what you wrote and must admit that it has touched my heart. Just bear in mind that there are some that are fragile and very foolish at times. Past hurts have a way of hauting and hytmotizing (sp?). This effect may lead a person to act in ways that they normally would not. I too pray that we shall both find peace concerning this issue.

GB, I'm sorry if you feel that we can't post to the same forums...

We both have views and opinions, and surely one person putting a message on a forum shouldnt suddenly make it verboten for the other to do so.

No matter what our past situations and present situations, I value your opinion, even if it maybe different to my own.
