I'm just back from a short holiday in Belgium. We stayed in Brussels and went on day trips to Bruges and Antwerp. I was particularly interested in MIM, the Musical Instrument Museum in Brussels. This has been completely revamped about two years ago and is now in a new premises with room to put hundreds of instruments on display. I'll probably write an article about this.

I see you did write the MIM article It looks good.
I didn't do that one when I went to Brussels. I did go round the comic strip museum as well as sampling some of the delights the Belgians are famed for producing ( and ).

The canal trip round the city, the guide pointing out all the buildings. Sitting in a cafe and hearing a truly multilingual waitress address the different customers in their own language. Wandering round the museum/gallery. A punctual and efficient train ride to and from Brussels where I was based...
A lovely place I'd like to go back to again.

The multi-lingual aspect is amazing...most of the shopkeepers in Brussels speak at the very very least French and Dutch, as well as English, German, and often Japanese. Wow. Very impressive!!
I did the canal tour in Brugge, and spent the whole time pulling faces at the people standing on bridges above us. I was a mature young lady, I was

I almost went back earlier this year on a day trip with some friends. We ended up going over to Calais instead - bad idea. Bruges would have been a much nicer place to go.
