It's just amazing.

Just getting light.

Birds are singing.

I'd like to be more explicit..but the BBC probably wouldn't allow it.

Stop your teasing.

It's really lovely..and the backswimmers in the pond are waking up. There getting scarily big.

I'm off for a fag outside.

(I do hope my sleep will come back a bit now the longest day has hit...it was a bit unsettling in the supermarket yesterday when the woman said I was looking very tired smiley - laugh).

last year i could see the sky when i opened the vents in summer and could see it getting light at around 3:30 onward

now where i am has opaque sky lights that i cant open and it comes as a suprise when i come out of the office as to how light it has suddenly got!!!

i love the early morning, the cool before dawnsmiley - cool

the grey directionless light, its so peacefull,

I'm seriously worried about my sanity at present.

How do I come across to you? Please be honest?

You seem ok to me, but more hyper than usual. But nothing over the top. I've been concerned about how little sleep you are getting though because that's hard when one is stressed.

Can you say in what way you're worried about your sanity? Do you have support in RL?

You know that there are people here who care about you and want things to be good for you, right? smiley - hug

Thinking about it, you do seem more worried about stuff at the moment. I hope that will settle down once we know what's happening with the site. Wish I could do something to help.

I *am* acting very strange. I hardly sleep..and eating is pretty random.

I'm self indulgently posting here because it's a journal.

h2g2 seems like it's going away. It has always been a big help because real life is so difficult.

But I do despair about the way the BBC is behaving.

I simply can't believe it.

I think we will be much better off as a site once we're free of the beeb. That doesn't solve the other problems with the bbc of course, but it may make your daily life easier. Mine too

I think whatever happens with the sale, this community will survive. Did you see how many geeks rolled up in c2? No way is this place going to die - we have the techie stuff and the great community that will keep it together.

I agree with Taff - get into the garden work, less coffee, more food. Turn off the computer for awhile. We'll still be here when you get back.

I don't feel so hopeful.

The degree of anger I feel to do with the BBC is difficult to deal with.

I hate them so much. It's a lot of complicated stuff when you're British..and my upbringing.

I can't properly explain it.

I was born at the end of something.

I don't know why more other people aren't upset...

And now this transition...and they treat us like crp.

I think most people aren't more upset because those that might be have different coping mechanisms. I feel about the land where I live like you do about the bbc - seeing rivers I grew up swimming in dangerous now because of agribusiness dairy effluent. It's a real loss of innocence for NZ, and for me to see kiwis letting this happen. I alternate between being very angry and trying not to think about it because it upsets me so much.

I think I understand some of why the bbc stuff is so important to you. I get it at the cultural level, and I think I understand when those things that were part of our milieu change for the worse and everyone is too busy saving up to buy their flat screen TV or whatever.

Yep thanks kea.

I feel a lot of things similarly to you about nature.

But for some weird reason I have this end of Empire problem. Not literally but because how I was brought up..and because I'm quite extra sensitive it feels quite tragic.

Everything is going money/Sky etc. And the cultural heritage of the beeb is dying.

It means loads to me that you share some of your upset.

It's almost impossible to explain. But this h2g2 period seems part of it.

smiley - hug

Oh well..at least I'm real....

It's a very good day to finally find out something real that's happening to do with noohootoo.

But I'd be dishonest to say I'm not worried.

Leaving Aunty is huge. It's a context around us. Yes we get sick to death about all her censorship of late. it's stifling in so many ways...but it's safe.

I feel very sad as much as happy about it.
