Application of Patience
Mother of God, Empress of the Universe Posted Jan 22, 2006
Marketing and selling. Bah. I don't *like* that part of it. I like making the things, not peddling them. That would make it like a job.
I need to get an agent for that part, already know who it is, will talk to her again. Hopefully she's over the first blush of 'being in love' and is ready to focus on other things she wanted to do again.
And the kids book. aaaaaack. You had to remind me about *that*, didn't you. It's burried on my desktop along with about 20 other Active (as opposed to In Limbo) projects. I need to get to Tampa to carry on with that one, my brother hasn't been cooperative about taking pics for me to work with. The other parts of it are all in a state of semi-completion, though.
Obviously, what I need to do is Get Organized.
*runs and hides under covers*
*peeks out*
I NEED SERVANTS!
But meanwhile, I'll get your stuff done, then I can transfer 2! folders from my Desktop to My Documents today. That'll be .

Why not try E-bay? People sell photos on there why not paintings and if you could possibly get prints done you could sell multiple ones.

I know about pics MoG and have been bad for not sending any, or taking any in fact. Will do forthwith when SoRB gets back. Whenever I write SoRB I can't help thinking it stands for Son of a Bit*h. No idea why.
Anyway I've strated creating some art myself and have a few on display in my lounge and hallway. I found a great shop selling all different kinds of whacky paper and so have been doin collagy stuff.
I'll try and take some photos and see what you think. They are simple.
Alex.

I was thinking about looking into having prints made, Alfster. Am planning to talk to someone who has done that, see what's involved. She has her stuff printed on canvas then does a bit of painting on top and sells them as limited editions.
Alex, I'll look forward to seeing your collages and other pics. Send 'em to brittamog at gmail dot com when you get the chance.
Drank too much wine and forgot to eat dinner yesterday, am feeling sluggish and *must* get some things done this morning before work. Uff. I need a visit from the Energy Fairy.

Sorry I'm not the Energy Fairy then.
I keep lurking 'round your journal, it's very interesting, MoG.
You give me lots to think about. Ever thought of becoming a Muse?

Hi Elly! How's things with you?
Me as a Muse.
I'm afraid I'm more Instigator with sparkles
and questionable fashion sense than Muse. But I'm glad the journals give you something to think about. I put them here to remind me of things I want to keep in mind and it's nice to know they get other people's heads churning sometimes, too.

My head can rarely accomodate more than a single thought at a time these days, so I do need to concentrate on important things.
I find with the whole patience thing that I'm both patient and impatient- depends on the circumstances. Last night I was very patient with my little toddler having a wailing tantrum 'coz his teeth were hurting him, but just now I got frustrated and angry for not being told by my manager where he's going to be and therefore running head-first into an awkward situation. I can't stand stupidity, and don't have patience for it, and my pregnancy is driving me nuts going on for so long (35 weeks tomorrow), but I'll explain things over and over, and look for things that have gone lost with the patience of a saint.
Not sure why.
