h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Its been a real murky, dark and cold day here. In fact, its been so dark the street lights have been on all day.
I've been catching up with the feedback forums for the win 10 preview and have to say, there are folk out there who have failed to grasp exactly what this preview is about and worse, are whingeing at Microsoft about not being able to revert back to their main operating systems. It was made clear from day one, across all the win 10 pages/forums and feedback, that this was a preview not for the fainthearted or those who haven't got either experience or confidence in running such software in beta form. The number of people that have installed this over the top of their existing system beggars belief. Worse, they haven't even done a basic back up of their software/programs or data.
Microsoft have just released yet another build of this beta system and accordingly, I backed up what wasn't inc in the current beta and then installed the new release. Its as well I backed up because the latest version didn't keep ANY of the previous settings and programs, in fact I've been left with nothing but IE and the store's app. That is the reason folk are told they need patience, perseverance and able to start from scratch on occasion. This is one of those times. I now have to re-install all programs, browsers etc which will take some time. So, on that note, I'm going to re-fresh me and set to re-installing stuff. Oh, I decided the laptop was too slow for this so I've re=parttioned the hard drive on second pc and put this new build on that. Its at least going to speed the whole process up if nowt else.

come the finances and therefore a new pcTHAT will run linux and the internet and this one will go back to XP just for me games - that win' 7 hates

any other O.P must be better than windows nowall it needed was a little tweek with XP, but no! profit above everything
