Did I blink and miss it? Thought I should at least log on and mark the occasion.
Mark.
There we go. Carry on about your business.
10 years? 10 years!

I think, sir, that if you look on my page where it says "Since 19/04/99" you will find that it is, in fact, 10 years since I signed up and promptly forgot about it!
This was in the days of pre-live h2g2, when all was but a white swirl of electrons and the odd rather random post (mostly testing).
It took me a year to actually refind the site and create my page.
One nightshift about 6 or 7 years ago, I spent the majority of it trawling back through those h2g2 logs that mysteriously appeared and found the earliest mention of U14977, and that was the creation of the account on above said date, hence my low U number. I got an email from somebody on the Starship Titanic site mailing list saying "Hey, if you like this you might like this new site we're putting together" with a link to the sign-up, so I did. Ask Witty Moniker, U15777, she came here via the same route.
10 years? 10 years!

Pah. In a couple of weeks I'll have been here for ten proper years, none of this forgetting about the place for a year.
Key: Complain about this post
