Today has been a nice warm bright August day, but I saw a sight in the st Nicholas kirkyard this afternoon which has had me singing 'June in bustin' out all over' ever since.
Actually, today has been more of a mild early-autumn day. There was a touch of crispnedd about the air, and the light is beginning to take on an autumnal quality. FurthermoreI saw some horse chestnuts on the on the cobbles at Old Aiberdeen.
I did a spot of invigilating this morning. The Americans call it 'proctoring', apparently. Then i had cawfee with my Prof - he started marking the 'early leaver' scripts during the exam, and at one point leaned over to check a case with me - Rafique v Amin, a 1997 Common Property case. Luckily I remembered about it from my recent readings.
I got left in charge of the Property Law candidates for an hour or so, and exercised my authority to its petty maximum by allowing two student sto go to the toilet. Aye, seperately, mind.
Then I went in to town, where I saw the aforementioned bustin' out June (or Karen, or Morag, or whatever). I shlepped aroung the charity shops looking for a replacement for my defunct living room chair. I had a bacon & brie baguette (I was 5p short on the frice for an apple cheesa and walnut extravaganza).
I got home to find out that I've been cited as a witnedd in the prosecution arising out of the assault Susan and I witnessed the week before last. So has Susan.
