As I sit here with my aching head trying to think of an effective way to remember that the french don't have a word for ninety so that if you wanted to say ninety-nine you would effective have to say eighty-nineteen, I think to myself, erm, I don't know what I think

A simple solution - learn Belgian French!! In Belgium they have words for seventy *and* ninety, which makes so much more sense...

I think thats the same as Canadian French but I visit France more than Canada or Belgium.
I guess I just have to accept it!!!
