it is, but only to tourists... especially those from America's heartland (eh? where's that?). I've seen people become hopelessly confused by the routes, and have taken much pleasure aiding in some of the hopelessness of it all...
But what are you to do when 4-5 overweight tourists are completely oblivious to the world around them? especially those who need to get by, so they stop in the middle of the street for long periods of time? I sometimes wish I had a cattle prod...

ohmygod, I HATE those people. The worst are the people who walk side by side, five in a row, and stop every ten feet to take pictures of taxis.
Or the people who stand outside the port authority and can't figure out which way uptown is, seeing how 41st is to the right and 42nd's to the left...
