Actually, there's a story behind the strangeness of that post. My girlfriend signed up seconds before I did--she's researcher 145244. I intended to leave that one for her but botched it, leaving it on my own page instead. So actually, it became much MUCH funnier once I discovered it on my homepage. Leaving notes like that to myself is not a habit I'd like to have...unless I had multiple personality disorder and needed to remind myself of who I was...but I don't.
Sigh. Sometimes I wish there was something wrong with me so that my strangeness was medically justified.
"Mommy, can I have a disorder for Christmas?"
Nice to meet ya.

Well, talking to yourself is one thing--I do it all the time, and it's amazing how often I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to say. Socratic method less one, doncha know? Ask yourself enough hard questions and you're bound to come up with answers to entirely different problems...
But I digress. It's something else entirely to leave message for yourself thinking that you're someone else. That is a shockingly different form of dementia, one that presupposes a certain confusion, some would say distain, for who you are.
I like myself, so after all this metaphysical rambling I still and clueless.
Some things never change, eh?

Well hello there beautiful. (at least, I ASSUME you're beautiful.) Glad you got the chance to drop that line for me even if the note ended up in the wrong place. I know this is presumptuous, but assuming you live on the same side of the pond as me, and assuming you like movies and food and things, maybe we could get together sometime. I dunno, it just seems tome that we're rather compatible.
Triv
Call me. But then again, I think you've got the number anyway...

Nineto Okami Posted Jul 25, 2000
Well it does sound rather presumptuous, but I like a man who can speak his mind. It does sound like we just might be compatible...
And I think I just might have your number somewhere, so maybe I'll give you a ring sometime when I get home from work. Then we can tell for sure.
