h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

It just occurred to me that I haven't written a journal entry in weeks, or what seems like weeks - there's been so much to do recently.

Firstly, the Badly Drawn Boy (NOT Baldy Drawn Boy, as a friend "accidentally" called him - as far as I'm aware the woolly hat is not there to hide a bald patch, but is in fact there to annoy my dad) concert (pay attention now, since I seem to like these brackets when I can't use footnotes) was absolutely amazing - much better than Coldplay, which was itself brilliant. Every song sounded so good played live (which I can't say for his recent performances on TOTP or Later...) and he played about six "this is the last song"s. I need to get a job so I can go to more of these gigs.

Nextly (and, some would say, more importantly) the Cambridge interview. It was at Robinson College this morning, and I failed miserably. I actually quite enjoyed the test (pity I'll never find out what I got) but the technical interview went so badly that I'll never be accepted. Luckily I've already been to the York open day, and really liked the place (everybody else says the university looks like a dump, but I didn't see that) so I'm perfectly happy to go there instead.

Although I had last weekend to myself, I still stayed up half the night so I never got around to catching up with all that sleep my body's been demanding for the past month. I think I'll be pretty much awake until Christmas - I have senior band things on right up until midnight on Christmas Eve (my last Watchnight service! ). Never thought I'd ever miss the band, but I think I will when I leave school. Six months to go!

Now. Must sleep.
