Finally I've found some friends who treat me as normal (a difficult task indeed) and even the school band is ok at the moment (our band camp in a "haunted" castle worked out quite well, anyway). The concert band regional competition is in a week's time, but then there's the Badly Drawn Boy concert a week after which makes up for it. And I will *not* be begging bouncers to let me in this time.
The only thing is, as soon as the rest of sixth year discovers who my prom date is I won't be able to to school for a few weeks. Ought to wipe some smug smiles off a few faces first though. 
Oh, and I've just got around to buying some new albums - Martin Grech's "Open Heart Zoo" and The Magnetic Fields' "69 Love Songs". Both are amazing.
