Mom should be out of hospital on Monday. Her oncologist did say it could be up to a fortnight, but as their bungalow is already adapted from when Mom had her hips replaced, it's just a matter of arranging for a carer morning & night 
.
Next Thursday she's probably going to Coventry Walsgrave Hospital for a large zap of radiotherapy and we'll take it from there.
Pa sounds so happy - he did want the OT's to arrange for a floor to ceiling pole next to the bath for Mom, but they've told him she won't be up for pole dancing just yet 
It will be so good to have her back in her own territory

The Escape Committee are making their final plans, Great-Grandpa W has been to the market & purchased a couple of sweatshirts & a pair of trackie bottoms, furry-bootee-slipper-type trainers have been sourced and oxygen tank's at the ready 
Oh and the battery's fully charged on the scooter as well 
Great-Granny's mechanical bent was straightened at birth, the only way she could join the local cycling club (the hip place to be in the 40's) was by 'walking out' with a young gentleman who owned a tandem. Mom's the only one I know who's been warned for dangerous walking with a wheeled shopping trolley by a policeman (my uncle) 
.
The very thought of her driving a mobility scooter will make milkmen change their routes, burly lorry drivers blanch and lollypop men practise their tackling!
But it will be great to have her home! Thanks for your messages of support

Luckily for the population of Bromsgrove, Pa can't find a way of fixing her oxygen cylinder to the back so she won't be using it for a while.
I spoke to Mom a little while ago, she's sounding very well and very glad to be home. As soon as Nogbad's fit enough we're going down to see her
