h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Tomorrow (Tuesday, 12th Sept) Peregrin, Roasted Amoeba and myself are meeting up in London. Is London ready for this?

We're going to the Tate Modern, The Dome, The London Eye, Computer Arts Live 2000 exhibition and possibly H2G2 Towers!

Back on Friday.

I've been told the eye is very good. What I've seen of the Tate Modern is good also. I need to go back to look at the other bits now

Yep. I live in N London (Golders Green) and work fairly centrally (near Old St tube).
There are quite a few London types it seems, but then again there are a lot of people who live in London

Leeds so it'll be a train down to Kings X (lovely part of town - NOT).

Oh yes and do try and get some bus rides and other above ground travel done (when you start working out some of the routes, above ground can be quicker than the tube).

I have been to London quite a lot and I agree with you about the buses.

We're meeting up under Eros at 6pm tomorrow if you want to join us for a drink. But be prompt -- we wont hang around because P and RA will need feeding by then.

Still I won't have started the working day till between round 10 - 10:30am anyway (which is why I need to stay later).

I must say I didn't expect to hear from you till afterwards telling me how great it all was

I have an uncanny ability to seek out internet access. I am now at the Computer Arts Live exhibition -- the main purpose of this dangerous mission. I have lost Peregrin. I haven't seen him yet this morning. I'm going to sit here next to this nice pink iMac for a while in the hope that he will guess where I am.

Have you seen lots of toys you want then at the exhibition?

I've had a good play with all the Wacom tablets and as a result I have decided that I need to upgrade my baby tablet to a grown-up version. Peregrin is looking at 3D stuff. The exhibition is much smaller than I expected so I don't think we'll be here much longer.

Ah well, time to get the chequebook out then.
