another week over. off for seven days hope the
weather stays fine one more week at work
then i'm off to scotland for a fortnight

its cleanup day on the estate, it was fine, and i managed to mow the back garden, but about 12 midday the rain let loose again.

i went to scotland myself for a week to a mayes at east kilbride a few years ago, he was on the h2g2 as well, but gave up with cable, we still chat on the phone most nights of the week.

it was good to go once, but not for me,i couldnt live there, the dialects alone would do my head in. jim

that's why i keep going back

im not one for open spaces, im used to towns and cities.

when i was younger, i did live from farm to farm in the lancashire and yorkshire area,

pea picking, spud picking, hay baling, and so on.lived in barns, out houses, even in the fields in warm weather.

it was like most things, it had its ups and downs.

for over a year i lived on the streets, from convent to convent for most meals.i was living in sheffield at the time.

j kept being made redundant, at firm after firm,spear and jackson tools, firth brown, tempered springs, and a few more.

i used up my stamps allowance, so not enough to get the full dhss, as it was, so no where i could afford rent for. in the end, i left and walke one night al the way from sheffield to barnsley.

im snowed in, so cant get to town let alone cyber, good start to 2010 J.H.D.

whenever we get snow in this country
everything comes to a stand still i saw on the news
it's bad in manchester and in most parts of scotland
and where you are in yorkshire
we have had snow down here but it's not as bad as up north
it's snowing now we are going to get it all week
