I attend a wedding on the Potomac and was informed that the young groom has a wine blog. Wine blog, I think, am I stuck in the 60s or not? This is a young American who has served honorably in the Peace Corps in Tonga, a generation removed from my own experiences in SE Asia.

Phred, dear, I visited your blog. Very nice. I was going to make a comment but you have set up your parameters so I have to have a google account. I have commented on other Blogspot blogs without having to do that, maybe you ought to enable us "others" to comment by using our names, email addresses and url's the way Edwardbonobo has.

It was a trifle annoying to write out my carefully crafted comment and then have the server tell me that I was going to lose it all because I was navigating away to set up my google account.

Perhaps this accounts for why you have few comments on your most excellent writing work and beautiful pictures!

Great tip!. I changed the settings so that "anyone" can comment...That should create some strange comments...

Uh yeah. I forget how, but when someone wants to comment they need to verify the letters in the box. I'll pop by and give yours a try.
