Why am I writing this?

On a whim, I'm going to write in my journal. who knows what sordid details will emerge?
firstly, same music rundown
suede: coming up
hefner: fidelity wars
mercury rev: deserters songs
kraftwerk: trans europe express
massive attack: blue lines
suede: dog man star
listen to them
now, without further ado, random wibblings:
um. my life is one long stream of work, punctuated by brief and rare bouts of mild drunkenness. slightly tragic, you might think. quite right, but what do you expect? im not an alcoholic should anyone point this out (sea, hem hem, if she even reads this )
but! my birthday is on the 30th of this very month. if you want ot send me a card, email me. if you want to send me a cheque, i will accept graciously, natch. I will be 18, yay! then i will be designated alcohol purchaser...ahem...this is a recurring theme.
over my birthday, i will be in a play, called the birthday party. this is ironic, cos my birthday is usually as cheery as that play...
then, in the holidays, its off to italy, to get down with all the american students in rome who apparently dig the public school accent and then to switzerland for skiing over christamas with a mate. this will be cool also. then, no new years party, cos i never get invited to them...then back to school on the 3rd of januray.
no sordid details this time. there arent really any anyway. oh well. and talk to me Abi! be on ICQ?

Well, it's a package deal, m'dear- you talk to me on descent hours of the night, and then Abi talks to you. See the logic behind that?
Anyway- how are you? Yes, bored and all, but ok, I hope. Right??
Catch you later
Elly
