I'm currently settling down on the couch for the night, having had to spray my chest of drawers with flea spray, pull everything out and clean it all to try and get rid of book mites which have been living behind it.
Makes my skin crawl and I'm just happy the clothes I'm wearing have only just been washed. But now there's 4 drawers of washing to be done when I get up. Lucky I was due a cull!
Not that they are harmful, or bite, they shouldn't even damage clothes unless I've put anything in the drawer damp, or the wee patch of damp has gone far enough into the drawers to cause mildew (it has but I'm hoping the bottom drawer hasn't got anything really important in it)...
...but I swear, if they're noshing badly on my books, I will be seriously pissed off. And all my lovely - unused - sketchbooks are sitting on top, waiting to be used. I will cry if they're ruined!
Evil little blighters!

Things are all good in the chest of drawers, the flea spray I bought seems to have gotten rid of the book bugs and none of my clothes or sketchbooks - used and unused - have been damaged. I think the bugs must have been a recent invasion, I'd only sorted the drawers out a couple of months ago. Plus all but a bit of washing is done, which is good.
And worst things happen then book bugs and washing
And things are okay, I've got to run to work in a bit to fix a computer and that involves driving dad's 4x4, as my parents have taken the little car, so I'm a bit scared. But never mind and then I've got a busy day of trying to make a pendant and making lists revolving around golden wedding anniversaries, Christmas and Christmas. Anyway, I'm off to get dressed, switch on the workshop heater and head into the practice.
How's things with you?

What games have you bought, anything good?
I do indeed design jewellery...or least I have done and hopefully will. Barely made anything for months. It's one of the reasons my head's been a bit messed up. Hopefully 2012 will be the year I get myself working again and start selling. My folio's not had anything new in forever!
If you're looking for handmade jewellery, you should try Not Mass Produced for designer and I have to say etsy's a reallt good place to look too. There's obviously a lot of hobbiest beading and things, but there are some talented silversmiths on there. It is indeed one of the places I will probably sell from to begin with.
Oh and the 4x4 was fine to drive, but I haven't driven a manual for a few months. Gotten too used to an automatic, so I stalled a couple of times...cannot believe how quickly I've gotten out of the way of it!

Oh my god, I kept trying to do that, especially as the car before the auto was the same except for the colour and manual gear box. I also kept putting my feet in the wrong place when I got in because it felt so alien having no clutch.
typical boy shoot 'em ups. Can't say they're my cup of tea, but I don't think those games are aimed at me. Don't worry, I'm still living at home - as are my sisters - and we like gaming too, though our ps2 is ancient and the games even older and we have a wii, but frankly other than guitar hero etc it's a bit crappy. I like platform games, I was obsessed with Crash Bandicoot and Lara, but I rarely go on them now, there's always something else needing done.
I will make sure to start a journal to the effects of "My jove I think she's got it!" when I get making again. It's not that I don't want to, I love making jewellery (and objects, I've made two silver chess sets in the past, and I have designs for another.) Making things makes me happy, which begs the question, why aren't I making. Answer, because silver's expensive and I've lost confidence in my design ability.
Which is why I've come back to h2g2, to read some guide entries, talk to some lovely people and old friends and hopefully get my imagination sparking.
What kind of jewellery does your daughter wear?
Anyway, I'm off for a it's started snowing here and I don't relish the shed, but I have a design for my gran now and got absolutely sod all done yesterday.
Have a lovely Sunday, whatever you're up too, and go spend an hour on one of your games, I'm sure you deserve it.
