h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My Schools end of term play is Grease and I saw it for the first time tonight and it was brilliant I mean there was a bit of squeaking from some of the characters singing and the music was too loud but it was still really good. I would of loved to do it if I didn't have 2 left feet and get stage fright really easily. I wish there was something I could do to stop myself feeling this way.
They do a talent show every year and there's a part of me who wishes I could do that to..............get up an sing something........but I would get up there forget the words and go bright red and fall over all within seconds of getting up there. Of course thinking like that doesn't help!

I love Grease too but I feel that a leather jacket and greased-back hair wouldn't be ... me.
And I can't sing to save my life...

Still, I'm quite a shy person when I'm not on the stage, but it's better when you're actually up there, cause the ligth blinds you and you can't see the audience. (For the first few minutes I forget that you're not *suposed* to squint and look foolish. D'oh!)

No me either......I think I stick to jeans, nice t-shirts and my fav item of clothing my new denim jacket!!

I've always been really shy when it came to getting up on stage..............it's because my friends all used to tease me about my singing and I've had a brace for like forever and I don't do the whole cheese *g* well I do know but I haven't since I was god about five.....six.......or mabey 7 s**t! Anyway know all my friends say I sing really nicely I just have to be a bit louder..........I still have a complex about it though!!!!

Your right about the lights though and our school gets some of the pupils to move them so they wobble...................always interesting

If your terrified of being up on stage don't. Be backstage. Then if you get it you can conttrol the lights, the make everyone on stage look funny. *g*

I'd love to I justhave no idea how to go about getting involed because they don't even say if they want help or not............I meant to try this year but totally forgot so I'm gonna try for the next one!!!

My guidance teacher helps alot with the lighting, my art teacher does the scenery and my HE teacher does the costumes so I'll ask one of them!!
