"sorry 'bout the brush - you shouldn't feel brushed off."
This is funny too.

Glad to be of (am)use(ment)...
It's really hard to be funny in text, in a foreign language....
That link is hysterical - so close to reality it is scary!
The streaming newslets at the bottom of the screen aren't bad either!

"It's really hard to be funny in text, in a foreign language...."
Tis next to impossible for me, I can barely remember a word of Welsh, French or German, let alone how to use word play and suchlike...

Ahh, but you see, I need it in work, so I get daily practice. And I play here a lot! If you insisted on playing in Welsh, it would come back, I'm sure!

or you can start something?
I did read something on hootoo, it told me how to say 'I like fish and chips' in Welsh, but I can't remember it for the life of me! Welsh is SOOOO different from other languages I know!

Pysgodin does make some sense, but I think I need help to remember more than one word a day, and even that page is a short list...
Care for holding a silly little course in Welsh? Cymryddin???? What? is the Welsh word for Welsh?

I'd take him to task about some of his facts, especially his pronunciation key, but then he'd only been in Wales for two or three years when he wrote that entry. There's this in particular:
"Ch/ch is pronounced like the ending of church in english"
Only to people who have a really, really thick Scouser accent, it is!
"What? is the Welsh word for Welsh?"
Cymraeg, pronounced cum-RYE-g.
"Care for holding a silly little course in Welsh?"
I'm up for it, if anyone else is. I'm okay on grammar and pronunciation, but relatively low on vocabulary. I know the basics, though. Whaddaya say, Avernus? We could confuse the hell out of Milla by disagreeing ferociously about what things mean and which dialect we ought to be using and so on.

How about we go over to the Language Thing to amuse ourselves - I'll teach you Swedish in return...

Embaressingly I will be learning more welsh than I'll be teaching. Hell, my grasp of advanced English is not what it once was. Seriously over the last 3-5 years my brain has been imploding.

Da iawn, diolch yn fawr...

I'm fine, thanks...
Sut ydach chi?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/learnwelsh/ May come in useful for all wishing to improve their Welsh.
Just watched the new Doctor Who, it was quite good, been a long time since I watched The Doctor so can't really fairly compare it to anything, Ecclestone's Doctor, as expected was cool, not as impressed by Billy Piper's charater as some, thought the Autons was a good place to start. Quite an action driven episode, funny in the right places. Look forward to more.

I have never got to see a single dr Who episode, I'm not even sure what it is! But I believe it is something funny on tv... (I know there is a h2g2 entry around, but I suppose i makes more sense if you've seen an episode or two)
Sut-how ydach-are chi-you?
Tack, bra. Jag har just ätit frukost.
Tack(thanks), bra(fine). Jag(I) har(have) just(!) ätit(eaten) frukost(breakfast).

No idea, probably not very much at all. I wanted to try and get up sensible time today but I couldn't get myself out of that comfortable place between wakefulness and sleep.
I still feel like i need more rest now. Eyes feel heavy, not really able to focus my attention on anything.
Also feel guilt about not getting control over my sleep patern.
And I feel down about stuff in general.
