My memory is a little hazy... I think because by the end of the day I was very exhausted and at the signing I was nervous talking to him.

I got there, around 11:10 give or take five minutes. A friend from Sproutlore was in the queue, right in the middle of the line, with another friend of his own, so I spent the next hour or so talking toot with them before we reached the door. Yes, I queue jumped, I'm an evil bast.
I'd taken 5 books with me. Thinking that 3 was a reasonable number to try an get signed and I'd decide which 3 closer to the time. In the end I had all five signed. More or less using the fact that my Sproutlorian friend hadn't actually wanted anything signed himself.
I made mention of the 'Cthullu' thing. He did pretty much what I said he would before...

He probably just didn't believe you...

Neil Gaiman eyed you nervously, did he? I'm glad you mentioned it to him, and that you let us know his reaction. Shame he had no witty comeback. Do you think he remembered the incident?

No, he remembered it, he kinda finished my sentence as I brought up the journal... It may have been that I just didn't tell it in a good/interesting way due to nervousness... Like I say my recollection of meeting him is not as clear as I'd like it to be. I also mentioned Glen Fabry, that somehow ended being about Mr Fabry's relationship with alcohol... Neil read what Fabry had written in my copy of 'Endless Nights' and declared that he had been sobre when he wrote it.

Sounds like you had quite an interesting convo.

I really felt that it didn't go well to be honest...

I don't think Mr Gaiman looks as attractive in RL as he does images I've seen.
