That last-but-one one was 'Lovers' Town' by Billy Bragg, which is on the early Peel Sessions album. But if Gosho's not going to guess it, I thought probably no-one would.
And the last one was guessed by McKay the Disorganised - depending which way you look at it, 'Gangsters' by the Special AKA or 'Al Capone' by Prince Buster.
Did you know 'Capone' means 'turkey' in Italian?

That was Billy Bragg? Well well well.
I did have an inkling about 'Don't call me ska-face' though I can still remember the first time I ever heard Gangsters - both of them in fact since John Peel played it twice in the same show

As I was just updating my page with all of the soubriquets on it, I typed 'late 70s Essex pub rockers' and realised I really should have predicted who was most likely to guess that one!

I really must pay closer attention if I want to get ahead in this game. There's no Substitute for speed. But Who did it, I wonder?

Substitute you for my Mum - at least I'll get my washing done...
Although it's already been spotted elsewhere - I know Otto got the Ocean Colour Scene one, but I forget who spotted the Who reference first and Ican't find the conversation right now.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary] Posted Jul 17, 2005
HEY!! I know the current one! (finally something I can get...)
Love Parklife. One of the funner CDs I have.

Aha! Rumbled by both of you
After the last one took a week and a half to get spotted, I thought I'd go for an easy one but I didn't think anyone would notice that quick!
I'm leaving it there for a while though. It's connected to an old, special part of me.

Does 'Vorsprung durch technik' really mean progress through technology? I think that's what the ads used to say.

Reminds me of your classic cab-driver's line, that:
"That Damon Allbran, I 'ad 'im in between my brackets once..."

Well, Reddyfreddy got the last one...
And I'm not sure whether to include the Self-Preservation Society in my list cos I'm a bit ambivalent about including a title in between my brackets, although technically speaking the title of the tune on the soundtrack to the Italian Job was "Getta Bloomin' Move On"
