Do we get three guesses as to who this "other" is? (the first two don't count).

I could hazard a guess, based on his current nickname - but Yikesing is always frustrating that way.

I am sorry but I couldn't have parts of my private life posted on a public website - again.
I was just standing up for myself for a change. It took me over a week and a half to decide what to do.
I make mistakes, as does everyone else. I should have been more honourable about finishing our relationship but I am not perfect. I am sad and lonely but things will get better at some point.
After some anger, I wish SoRB all the best and I do and did not want to force SoRB off this site.

WTF!?
Matholwch - Brythonic Tribal Polytheist Posted Dec 8, 2007
OK what's happening here?
Why is a top field researcher and long time member of h2g2 being pushed around like this?
Me and him have been keen and gentlemanly adversaries for years and this is it?
Would an Ace or Mod like to get their butt in here and explain what is happening please?
Not happy,
Matholwch .

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Dec 8, 2007
ACEs are volunteers and have nothing to do with moderation... and even if they were moderation issues are not a matter of public record. Demanding that they 'get their butts in here' is just silly.
If SorB wishes to let anybody know why this has happened I'm sure he'll contact them.

Perhaps Count Zero, who obviously read the first post can enlighten us? Sounds as if it was more to do with other researchers, which I find hard to believe.

Post 8 makes it fairly clear what happened here I'd have thought?
WTF!?
Teasswill Posted Dec 9, 2007
I got the impression that was only part of the story.
If that is the whole , it rather illustrates the pitfalls of 'social networking online' (This week's talking point http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A28609086 )
We've lost two worthwhile members of the community.
WTF!?
Baron Grim Posted Dec 10, 2007
The first post quoted a moderation email so that's probably the main reason it was ed. It wasn't specific as to what exactly was going on but post 8 does indeed. It appears to be a quite personal problem of which I am not a party, so I'll leave it at that.
Key: Complain about this post

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
