h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The first thing that the Biology teacher says that hits me was the meaning of POETS Day. She was telling us that, sadly, there was to be no sunshine in form of a quiz this morning. We were all devastated, or for the most part, cresfallen.

Chatted with the Tech Supervisor at lunch about my Senior project (digital microscopy) I might see if I could put freshwater protozoans into hypotonic solutions (other way around rather, me) and videotape the contractile vacuoles. I'm finished with the elodea leaves for turgor pressure and plasmolysis lab, I think.

Talked about colleges. Barnard sounds very interesting. We'll see

After school, the cross-country homemeet is canceled. So is the football game. I'm looking forward to reading the Knife of Dreams this weekend.

I am feeling slightly depressed and mostly guilty because I broke my friend's table ironing a shirt.

The heat of the iron got through the thin pillowcase to the glass surface of the table and the glass shattered, that's how.

Well, I should have learned physics today, but I didn't get anything done.
