h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Wish we could delete these Journal Entries. This is like saying something out loud, you can't take it back. *Pondering* Unless you say "I take it back". I'll try that: I take the very long, ponderous and preachy email that I put into my H2G2 Journal back. It's making my page too longish.

To me the journal thing is more like having an idiot herald constantly by your side, who shouts your every utterance over and over and over... until you say something else. A few weeks ago I thought I'd be a clever sod and wish our New Zealand chums a happy Waitangi Day (I read it on our strange and eclectic wall calendar), only I misspelled it... twice.

Is Waitangi Day a Maori thing? I've stopped writing in the journals for the moment...too busy in the forums!!

Loonytunes or Spanner grrl (or another of the many good kiwis in these parts) are better qualified to answer that than I am, but my understanding of the thing is that it is the name of a treaty between the British government and the Maori people.

As for journal entries... me too... until I get tired of reading the same one all the time; then I write something else just to move it down the page.

If you want that long one off your page, the journal will only hold five at a time and then the rest are shuffled off to another page. This way if you post a couple more journals, that long one will be bye-bye!

Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case any longer. I have a long one too.

I am pretty sure that now with the new stuff here you can delete the journal entry forever if you want by clicking on delete this entry. I may be totally wrong though!
