Everyone in California has been wondering when Jerry Brown was going to start running for Governor...
It just so happens, he's begun campaigning in my inbox! Fine with me, I was voting for him anyway....
Ain't tech grand?

I don't think so; Meg Whitman is very, very wealthy. And if that sounds cynical, it is. I moved up to San Jose at the time she quit eBay, which is headquartered there, and the folks at eBay threw a party before she even left, they were so happy! I used to hang out and network with eBay folks at a local McD's, which was right across the street from there. I heard so much stuff about her, I wouldn't vote for her if she was the *only* choice.

Bummer. And let's face it, I personally like the guy, but Jerry Brown has a flaky reputation.

Most of it's undeserved, though. Criticizing the man for not wanting to live in the Governor's mansion? He spent a lot of time there when his dad was the Gov, maybe he had bad memories!
I gotta personally thank him for one thing, though. My cousin was one of his campaign staff when he ran the first time, back in the day. She took M and I to the staff's favorite restaurant -- which is still one of my all time faves today, and the first place I went out to when I got back down here! LOVE Lucy's! House salad, chicken enchiladas and albondigas soup, and it still tastes as good as the first time!
