Greetings, earthmen.

Let me introduce you to the riotous world of Me. Safari hats on? Right. Follow the flower into the jungle...

Life began in Santa Clara, CA, in on a Saturday in July. A few months after that event I moved to Truckee, a town of 12,000 souls on the California side of Lake Tahoe, the most beautiful place in the world. Of course, this information all comes to me second hand, as I remember very little of either event.

There I lived for eighteen years, shivering in the winter and skinny-dipping in the summer. Summers in Truckee have no equal ---the air fragrant with evergreens, tiny white butterflies flitting over pure lakes refreshed each year by snow run-off from the mountains that frame the scene. Truly beautiful...except for the large quantities that led to overdevelopment, deforestation, and pollution.

When it wasn't summer, it was either autumn or winter, or else it was spring. Any of those seasons meant school. High School.

I hated high school, and I use that word in a very literal sense. No hyperbole here. I hated high school. The repetitive classes, pedantic teachers, dissapointing peer groups, acne and small dating pool...ugh! It's alright though. High school taught me a great deal of life, like who to break up with after the first kiss. Moreover, that there are times when one must be radically dissimilar to be happy, even if these dissimilarities are not a source of happiness.

But eventually I graduated. I had to graduate, eventually. Worked the summer in a sunny, un-hygienic cafe' called Deux Gros Nez (Home of the world's most caffienated decaf, how can I help you?), fulfilling a basic requirement of youth these days. Everyone must have a stint as an unexperienced, overworked waitress in a grungy cafe`...it prepares you for the executive world by establishing a work ethic, building human relations experience, and instilling a deep seated need to work behind a desk where only the only callous you'll have is a writing callous.

College means once again living in the most beautiful place in the world: Santa Barbara. I attend UC Santa Barbara as a drama major, emphasis in writing and directing. Later, I hope to post some of my work in the form of journal entries. BEWARE

More on my life later...
