h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi, Mikey!
An idea has been stewing in my soup-toureen of a brain for about two weeks now. The idea is this: America needs a Hitchhiker's Guide "appreciation society" (i.e., club). England has been cornering that market for too long.
I thought about organizing one for the whole country, but it seemed like too much work. So I decided to think smaller.
Since I have never even left the west coast (except once on a horrid Christmas vacation to Kentucky), I think that would be a good region in which to begin.
I tried to think of a name referencing 42, and then I got the TV series on DVD. The commentary said that one very impressive shot of the first episode was filmed in a building called "Tower 42". Hence the name.
So I want to start a h2g2 club... now what?
I imagine I feel somewhat like Loonquawl and Phouchg right now, with the end but no beginning. I figure the thing to do next is see if I can find any interested parties, and IF I can, then maybe it will be time to set up a blog... or something.
You're from the West, like me. Are you interested? Got any suggestions? At this point, I would accept any suggestion- even if you suggested I stick a mackerel in my ear.
Maybe I shouldn't do this- I've got senior year coming up, and two fan fictions on my plate, and I'm taking drum lessons and learning to drive GOOD GRIEF I'VE GOT TO GET A GRIP!
Sigh... Okay, I'm chilling out. Seriously, I could use some feedback on this.
